April Showers brings….
April is finally here, and with it the start of our riding season but not quite yet. While we were hoping to hold our AGM (annual general meeting) this month some of the executive committee did a recent trail tour and it was clear there’s still too much snow on the trails to make that happen just yet, so we’ve decided to move it to May 2. Same time and location. Watch for the notifications on Facebook and the website. We would like to make a day of it with a free BBQ lunch and a ride after the meeting.
This spring, we are introducing a new contest. Our team has hidden some big “golden eggs” on our trail systems. If you happen to find a golden egg, open it up and follow directions inside to pick up your prize! The eggs will be hidden beside the trail, so no need to go off trail to find them. Anyone can hunt for the eggs, but the prizes can only be claimed by Belair ATV Club members. You can purchase a membership at time of claiming prize. Once an egg is turned in it will be rehidden in a new spot for more chances to win. There will be weekly clues to help make the search easier. All winners will be entered into a draw for the Grand Egg Prize at the end of the contest. Happy hunting!
We also had a great time on March 28 when one of our business partners, FFun Motorsports East, invited the club to set up a booth at their open house. We welcomed new members, talked all things ATV and Belair ATV Club, and met plenty of fellow riders who stopped by. A fun time was had by all, and we appreciate the opportunity to be part of a great event.
