It’s August already, days are getting shorter and hotter and the riding is going strong. Trail work is coming along good with plenty of hours logged already. Our board has welcomed a new member Yvonne, who will be working with Ken to do administrative duties.

We have purchased a new bigger 60hp tractor for doing trail work and it’s expected to arrive soon. Our new storage shed is in place and being used to keep our signs and equipment.

On July 13-14 Bryan Kreig and Bill Marsh built our new staging area parking lot in East Selkirk. It measures 68×220 ft at a cost of just under $15000.00 and allows users to park on a solid built gravel lot instead of the grass. This is a multi use community lot for all.

Our next ride event is coming up on Aug 15/26 out of Hilltop resort on Hwy 59. This will be a weekend event with mud races on Saturday and club ride on Sunday. There will be discounted camping available for club members. Watch for the post on this event coming out soon. This will be the first annual event for the club.

Four of the beaver dams were removed along a section of the Whistle Pig and the sever erosion damage was repaired. Those rascally rodents sure can create problems but for now it has been fixed.
