Welcome October, fall is in the air. This is such a great time to enjoy the outdoors with lots of fall colors in the trees and the hint of winters arrival soon. Hunting season has started and the forest will be busy with hunters looking for that perfect deer. As we enter into this season please be mindful of hunting areas, wear bright clothing that is easy to see and ride safe.
We have been enjoying a great season so far but it’s not over yet. Our next club ride will be on Oct. 19 staging at the fire tower in Woodridge at 9:30 am. Check out the news post for details. This will be the last scheduled ride for the year.
Trail work is ongoing but we will be winding down that as well. There has been hundreds of hours of work done by the trail director and all the volunteers. Thank you to everyone who pitched in and helped make our trails better. Volunteers are the ones who keep our club strong. I have several ideas for future events and hope the volunteers will be there to help again.
The board is still searching for someone to fill the ride and event director position. If you are interested or have questions about this position please reach out and we can talk about it.
Enjoy the season and ride safe.
